4 Ways To Write Product Reviews On Your Blog

Product reviews can form the core of the content on your blog. They provide the necessary content to create a worthy blog that attracts visitors and it also provides you an opportunity to earn some money by promoting affiliate products. When a visitor to your blog reads your review and clicks your affiliate link before making a purchase you have a chance of earning commissions.

According to the rules of the FTC in the United States it is important that you clearly mention in your blog that you would be making commissions when someone makes a purchase after clicking a link in your review. This is the best way to follow the rules and still make money from your blog.

When it comes to writing a product review there are several ways to do this. However here are 4 ways that are proven to work well for writing product reviews.

The first popular method is the product summary review. Basically in this type of review you would give a brief description about the product and then explain the features of the product. For example if it’s a weight loss guide then you can explain the main method used by the weight loss program, the number of pages in the guide, the bonuses offered along with the main guide, what customers are saying about this guide etc. This types of review gives the visitor a snapshot of the product so that he can decide if this product is worth buying.

Before you write this type of review it would be good if you can buy the product and get a feel of the product so that you can write about your personal thoughts about the product.

The second method of writing a product review is to write as to why the product works. You can explain your experience with the product and how it helped you to get the desired results. For example if it’s a guide on how to get traffic from Facebook then you can explain how the guide helped you to get traffic and how it helped your blog. Of course you need to give your unbiased opinion. If the product did not help you much then you need to provide that info.

The third method is what’s missing review. In this type of review you can explain the shortcomings of the product you are reviewing. You will have to explain as to why you think the product does not work. This type of review can help you to stand out from the rest of the crowd that may be simply signing praises about the product to make a quick buck. At the end of the review you can actually promote a product that actually helps the user in getting the desired results.

The last method is the in-depth review. In this type of review you will do a detailed drill down of the product with its advantages and disadvantages. You’ll be placing all the facts about the product in front of the customer. At the end you can provide your views about the product so that customer can get an unbiased opinion about the product. Even if you are recommending the product don’t make it look like a sales pitch. It should just be small nudge and nothing else.
